Semester Reflection
This semester has been very beneficial to me because of the extremely created projects that are incorporated into such a straight forward topic. By allowing us to explore the root purpose of math, I have realized the relevance of this subject. These interactive projects have connected me to and helped me understand math as a whole.

One of the most memorable projects is and will be the Encyclopedia project. Although it may have not been my favorite project, I learned a lot about the relevance of different math concepts. By learning how these concepts are used in the real world I was able to understand them a lot more and it made me more excited about Algebra II. Because of this, it will probably be one of the most memorable projects we did this semester and even year.

Mini Project Summary
One of the reasons I chose Animas was because it is mainly project based. When it came to math though, I was confused on how you could make a math project. It seemed so flat and one dimensional. All I ever knew was learning from the book, completing equations and turning them in, having them graded and either being happy with my understanding, or disappointed. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy this, I was just impressed with the variety of things you could do with math. I was surprised at how many mini-projects were possible and I was intrigued. The first mini-projects we did was a Linear Equation project. We found lines in nature, like the line of a tree trunk, the horizon, etc. and were able to find the slopes and equation for the lines. It was interesting to see how math was involved in our world around us. I drew a flower, very simple, and symmetrical. Within this small simple design there was an incredible amount of lines and slopes overflowing what used to be a plain flower. Even though this was the first and easiest mini projects we have done in math so far, it made me interested in the rest that were to come and how math is everywhere.
Exam Project Summary
For our Exam Project, we were advised to create and solve ten problems with concepts from chapter 1-5. These problems are for our semester exam. With all students in Algebra II and our problems combine we are then going to weed out the problems that we think are confusing or have already been covered in another, more well done, problem. By writing the problems that will be on the test it can help us study at the same time. I think it is a really smart and fun idea and I am impressed with this way of learning.
WeaknessesIt is sometimes hard for me to advocate for myself when I am having struggles with the content we are covering. When we took a pop quiz about content we covered when I was absent I didn't quite understand the chapter and didn't advocate for more clarification and suffered with the grade of 60%. Even though it was not put into the grade book I still knew that I should have talked to Effi, my Algebra II teacher.

StrengthsI think I am very good at test taking. In all the tests I've taken in this semester I have never gotten a grade below a 91%. I believe that I am good at studying and that is why I can take tests so well.
