Budgeting Project
For this project, we chose to focus on consumer awareness, which included budgeting, loans, understanding credit, insurance, banking, investing, and retirement. We then made an informative visual, mine being a slide show, along with six math questions that incorporated our topic.
The Price of College Project
For this project, we analyzed two colleges of our choice--assessing prices, repayment plans, and other monetary and non-monetary costs and benefits. We then concluded whether or not college was worth it to us and if one college is better than the other. We used Excel to figure out how much tuition would cost when we attended college and to figure out and examine the four main repayment plans. We also looked at how other things including stress and health would cost us or benefit us in the future. When looking at colleges, this kind of analysis gave me a better idea of what college truly costs and what costs and benefits to pay attention to. From my data, I have realized that the college I mainly assessed, Colorado College, was quite expensive with an overall cost of $396,293.60 and although I would gain roughly $148,872.80, it would be difficult to initially pay my high loans off. So I have concluded that attending a little less expensive school, would still allow me to gain the immense amount of knowledge, but would allow me to be less stressed about financial matters.
